For some the idea of learning about how to manage water usage – seems ridiculous given the amount of rainfall that some Pacific island communities experience. However, particularly for Pacific Island atolls, acess to fresh water remains a primary concern partly because there are no natural large aquafiers to store water and act as a buffer against the times when rains are not forthcoming.
Both communities however, should be thinking about how to manage their existing water (regardless of how readily available it is) more sensibly.
